Dr. Carlos Mercado
Dr. Carlos Leon is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Leon trained at Rochester General Hospital in New York and completed his fellowship at the University of Miami Medical Center. During his fellowship, he received additional training and certification in interventional nephrology. After Dr. Leon completed his training, he practiced Nephrology in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
As a father, he wanted to see his family grow in a place similar to his childhood in Colombia, surrounded by the Andean mountains. He and his wife are looking forward to raising their family in the St. George area, surrounded by spectacular landscape and a family oriented community.
Dr. Leon's goal is to offer to this community the best medical service in all the aspects of kidney disease and its prevention.
Dr. Leon is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
